Description
Foradori Fuoripista Pinot Grigio is a wine that stands out for its alternative approach and intimate connection with nature. This wine is the fruit of a collaboration between Foradori and Marco Devigili, a biodynamic winemaker from Campo Rotaliano. It seeks to express the true essence of the Pinot Grigio grape variety, widely grown in the Trentino region.
Winemaking
The wine is made from Pinot Grigio grapes grown in a vineyard located in Campo Rotaliano, Mezzolombardo, covering 2 hectares. The terroir of this vineyard is characterised by its alluvial and gravelly soil, conditions that contribute significantly to the wine's profile. The Foradori Fuoripista Pinot Grigio spends more than 8 months on its skins in vats (amphorae). This process allows the delicate character of the Pinot Grigio to fully come through. The annual production of this wine is approximately 10.000 bottles.
Taste
The process of fermentation and ageing in vats for 8 months gives Foradori Fuoripista Pinot Grigio a unique flavour profile. It has a slightly cloudy colouring, with pale pink tones and copper nuances. The nose delights with ethereal aromas, highlighting notes of pine, fresh herbs, and forest fruits such as wild strawberries and raspberries, complemented by delicate roses.
On the palate, the wine reveals a surprising freshness and tension. Flavours include yellow apple and lemongrass, along with white flowers. This wine is characterised by its persistence on the palate, maintaining a smooth and juicy texture. Slightly bitter herbs are reminiscent of rosemary, and there is a hint of freshly lit match, indicative of a slight reduction.
