Description
In 2016, Emilio Moro made a bold decision: to leave his historic enclave in Ribera del Duero to explore the slate soils and the Atlantic soul of Bierzo. Thus Emilio Moro La Revelía was born, a Godello that not only marked the beginning of a new era, but also a declaration of intent: to elevate this variety to its maximum expression. The vineyard is located in the middle zones of northwest-facing slopes, where ripening is extended and the grape achieves an ideal balance between freshness, structure and complexity. Emilio Moro La Revelía is born of time and silence, unhurried and unadorned, with an eye to the future but rooted in the tradition of a vibrant land.
Elaboration
Emilio Moro La Revelía is made with an almost obsessive care to preserve the identity of the Godello grape. After a manual harvest, the grapes are slowly fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequent ageing takes place on fine lees in lightly toasted 500-litre French oak barrels, a deliberate choice that adds texture and depth without masking the varietal character. This refinement allows the wine to gain unctuousness, volume and longevity, without losing precision or freshness.
Taste
The first impression of Emilio Moro La Revelía is discreet but revealing: notes of green apple, lemon zest and fennel flower intertwine with hints of fresh butter and a mineral background evoking wet stone. On the palate, it is direct and taut, with sharp acidity balancing its creamy structure.
