The 2008 Els Escurons is a bit more forward and elegant but equally attractive. Both should drink well for another 10-15 years, probably longer. I also had a chance to taste the barrel samples of the 2009 vintage and they are looking spectacular. Sarah Perez calls it one of the best Priorat vintages in the last 20 years (which includes almost all of Priorat’s period of re-discovery).
