Description
Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese is a late harvest sweet white wine(Auslese) that comes from the prestigious Mosel wine region, specifically from Wiltingen. This white wine presents itself in a bright and shimmering light yellow hue. On the nose, this wine displays a rich aromatic palette that includes notes of physalis, vineyard peach, Nashi pear, cherry blossom and mango. Additional nuances such as the aroma of sun-warmed stone and forest earth are added thanks to its ageing in stainless steel tanks.
Winemaking
The basis of this elegant Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese is Riesling grapes. These grapes, once they have reached optimum maturity, are harvested by hand, avoiding the use of mechanised harvesting which is less selective. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery where they are carefully sorted and pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the wine matures for several months on its fine lees before bottling.

To the eye, it has a bright and shiny light yellow colour. On the nose, this wine displays a rich aromatic palette that includes notes of physalis, vineyard peach, Nashi pear, cherry blossom and mango. Additional nuances such as the aroma of sun-warmed stone and forest earth are added thanks to its ageing in stainless steel tanks.
It is a wine that perfectly combines freshness and complexity, offering a unique taste experience. It is recommended to be enjoyed at a temperature between 8 and 10°C, and is ideal to accompany dishes such as asparagus salad with quinoa, spaghetti with yoghurt and mint pesto, or fried trout with pear and ginger.
