The Weingut Dönnhoff winery has a rich history dating back to 1761. Over the years, it has maintained its commitment to producing high quality Rieslings, and the Dönnhoff Hermannshöhle Riesling GG wine is a testament to its expertise and dedication to the art of winemaking.
Winemaking
Hermannshöhle is a legendary location and has been the most valued in the Nahe region for over 100 years. Here, vines over 70 years old grow on a perfect south-facing slope with extremely mineral-rich soils derived from black-grey shale and volcanic elements. Production is limited to approximately 35 hl/ha and the harvest is 100% hand-picked in a selective manner. Fermentation and maturation of the wine takes place in stainless steel and traditional oak barrels. The result is a complex Riesling, of noble elegance, with an immense concentration of flavour and deep minerality. It is a dry, mysterious and aristocratic wine, combining power and elegance.

Dönnhoff Hermannshöhle Riesling GG stands out for its restrained beauty, with a peachy aroma that is difficult to describe but easy to appreciate. On the palate, this wine offers amazing concentration, but at the same time it is light and agile. The finish is sharp and bright, evoking the minerality of wet stones.
