Description
Dominio de Tares P3 is a reserve red wine made from Mencía grapes by the Dominio de Tares winery in the Bierzo DO of the Castilla y León region.
This grape variety comes from the San Carlos vineyard, a small plot, very singular, with soils rich in pebbles and centenary vines with very low yields, but with very high quality grapes.
Winemaking
The grapes are selected in the vineyard cluster by cluster and then in the winery the wine ferments in American oak barrels with indigenous yeasts where it remains for three months on its lees before being transferred to new French oak barrels where it ages for 16 months and with an extra 36 months in the bottle.
Flavour
Dominio de Tares P3 is an elegant, complex wine with a fruity and floral bouquet. On the palate it is a structured wine, full-bodied with sweet tannins and good acidity. Aftertaste with nuances that also appear through the retronasal passage. It is refined and silky, intense, succulent and pleasant, splendid!
