The 2016 Dominio de Anza Parcelario I is a new single-vineyard wine from an east-facing plot in Otero. 800 kilos of picked grapes resulted in one 225-liter oak barrel of wine. This is only 12.4% alcohol and extremely elegant; it has great freshness with notes of acid strawberry, a serious and tight wine. 2016 was a great harvest, and the wines showed terrific balance, and even if their noses were undeveloped and austere, they should bloom in bottle. This is a cooler plot (high altitude and north facing) in a cool year, and the wine shows cool-climate characteristics. Unfortunately, the plot is really small and there are only 280 bottles of this. It was bottled in May 2018.
