Description
This wine is born from the philosophy of accompanying nature, where they not only express the importance of trusting it, but also of following it and letting it express itself through the wines.
The wine Domaine Lagille L'Inattendue Brut is the legacy of Vincent and Maud, two siblings passionate about giving value to the tradition of their family, who have been making unique and very particular wines since the 17th century.
For this couple their passion breaks the barriers of time, giving utmost importance to the terroir and tradition, managing to transfer this value to their most exotic sparkling wines.
Winemaking
L'Inattendue is the brut wine that Domaine Lagille produces with great passion in the Treslon terroir, located west of Reims. Its production is exclusive and it used to be called Pinot Meunier, but now it is only called Meunier.
It is worth noting that this grape variety has had an important and constant rise in recent years. It is grown in vineyards with clay and limestone soils, and is aged on its lees for 36 to 42 months. A dosage of 7 grams contributes in a good way to compensate and balance the correct acidity.
Taste
After spending around 4 years on its lees, the result is a somewhat complex and intense sparkling wine in terms of aroma, with very subtle notes of wild fruits in syrup and dried white flowers.
In the mouth it is somewhat smooth and dense, but its effervescence accentuates a sensational fluidity, with a fleshy and very tender texture. Special to accompany river fish or beef sweetbreads with soya and honey.

L'Inattendue means in French "the unexpected" and that is why its name already gives us signs that what is going to be uncorked will be a wonderful surprise.
