With more than 40 years of experience, the Domaine Delesvaux winery, founded by Philippe and Catherine Delesvaux, is responsible for the production of this impressive natural and sweet wine called Delesvaux Côteaux du Layon Sélection de Grains Nobles, which has obtained high ratings in different evaluations, and has become the favourite of expert tasters and all kinds of consumers.
Winemaking
Delesvaux Côteaux du Layon Sélection de Grains Nobles is made from Chenin grapes that have been planted on schist soils, which are selected by hand following strict quality standards and respecting the principles of biodynamics. Philippe and Catherine do not use sugar in their wines, and the sulphur they add is minimal and extracted from a volcano.
This is a wine aged in barrel for about two years, and remains very concentrated but ethereal. This allows the flavours to be quite persistent and although it is a dense wine, the flavours can be perceived quite easily.
Taste
The Domaine Delesvaux winery offers an elegant, full-bodied wine. This refined wine leaves several nuances on the palate, with its flavour of exotic fruit and tree notes with citrus and earthy notes, as well as on the nose with its complex, fruity, herbaceous and floral aromas.
