Clos du Tue Boeuf Pineau de Loire is a barrel-aged white wine made from the white chenin variety by the Clos du Tue Boeuf winery under the appellation "wine of France''.
The grapes to make this wine come from a plot in Vouvray, which has clay soils very similar to those of the region where the Clos du Tue Boeuf winery is located.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum point of ripeness. The grapes are pressed directly and partially soaked with the skins for 3 days. Carbonic maceration takes 10 days. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with autochthonous yeasts.
Subsequently, the wine is aged for 8 months in used oak barrels. Bottled unfiltered and with low doses of added sulphites.
