Description
Carmelo Rodero 9 Meses is a 100% Tempranillo red wine from the prestigious Bodegas Rodero winery, located in Ribera del Duero. This wine reflects the know-how of a fourth-generation winemaking family with more than 170 hectares of vineyards. The vineyard, planted on trellises and bush vines, is located at altitudes between 824 and 855 metres above sea level on stony clay and limestone soils, conditions that favour a balanced and slow ripening of the grapes.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, selecting the best grapes in the field. At the winery, the vinification of Carmelo Rodero 9 Meses is carried out by gravity through the OVI system, followed by 9 months of ageing in 225-litre French oak barrels , a process that gives the wine its balanced and pleasant character.
Taste
In the glass, Carmelo Rodero 9 Meses has a deep purplish colour with a cherry red rim. In the nose, it is intense and complex, with notes of red and black fruits such as cherry and blueberry, denoting the freshness and youth of this wine. On the palate, it is surprising for its ample texture, filling the palate with remarkable freshness and balance. The soft and rounded tannins are complemented by a fruity and persistent finish that invites you to repeat each sip. This wine is ideal to pair with Iberian cured meats, rice dishes and blue fish, elevating each dish with its elegant and accessible character.
