Description
Produced in the Bolgheri region, Ca' Marcanda Vistamare is a white wine made from Vermentino and Viognier grapes. This wine, which combines the freshness and harmony of these varieties, offers an intense flavour with sensations of candied citrus and summer fruits on a marine background.
Winemaking
Vistamare is produced in the beautiful and sunny vineyards of Bolgheri, cultivated on the strip of land between the coast and the hills, protected from the north-east winds. The mild climate, always softened by the breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea, is perfect for two Mediterranean varieties such as Vermentino and Viognier. Both varieties are vinified separately, with fermentation and ageing in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for the Vermentino and in French oak barrels for the Viognier. After six months of ageing, the wine is blended and bottled. The wine remains in the cellar for a few more months before being marketed.
Taste
Vistamare perfectly expresses a balanced and seductive profile, the result of the wise combination of the typically marine notes of Vermentino with the intense expressive richness of Viognier. In the glass, it has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. Its bouquet is rich and intense, with floral aromas, citrus, yellow fruit, peach, apricot, tropical nuances and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is fresh, with juicy, ripe and pleasant fruit. It is ideal with seafood menus.
