Description
Altanza Familia is an elegant and complex wine with a medium-high cherry red colour and garnet hues. Produced in the prestigious Rioja Alta region, this wine is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes.
Winemaking
Its ageing process is meticulous, with 18 months in new French oak barrels and 3 additional months in 22-hectolitre French oak vats. This ageing gives the wine a unique combination of flavours and aromas that distinguishes it in the market.
Taste
On the nose, Altanza Familia stands out for its aromatic balance, offering notes of cherry, liquorice, fig, pepper, clove, tobacco and leather. These aromas invite you to savour it, while on the palate, the wine shows character and nerve. It maintains a constant freshness, being round and harmonious. The flavours of the wood blend with those of the fruit compote, the latter predominating on the palate. This balance between fruit and wood provides a rich and complex tasting experience, ideal to accompany hearty dishes such as grilled Iberian pork chops or grilled Iberian cured pork sausages.
