Description
Algueira Anadelia is an exceptional wine that represents the best of the Adega Algueira winery. This wine is a tribute to Ana Delia, the matriarch of the winery, and stands out for its complexity and elegance.
Winemaking
Algueira Anadelia is made mainly from Godello and Treixadura grapes, native varieties of the Ribeira Sacra region. The elaboration of this wine is careful and detailed, using spontaneous fermentations in 300-litre acacia barrels and 750-litre French oak barrels. This process guarantees a unique expression of the terroir and the varieties used. The final blending is carried out with the wines unfiltered and unstabilised, which contributes to their authentic character.
As for ageing, Algueira Anadelia matures for 8 months on lees, which gives it a rich and complex texture. This ageing process is carried out once the wine has been clarified and stabilised. The result is a wine with an alcoholic volume of 13.5%.
Taste
Algueira Anadelia is full and unctuous, with a delicate bitter finish that prolongs its aftertaste. In the glass, it has a golden yellow colour with a green rim. It requires oxygenation to fully reveal its ripe aromas of pear and stone fruit. In addition, there are notes of pastry, provided by the work with the lees, and a subtle note of beeswax, characteristic of Treixadura. This wine offers a unique sensory experience, combining the richness of its flavours with a balanced structure and a remarkable persistence on the palate.
