Description

Tissot Chardonnay Patchwork is a unique expression of the Jura region of France, capturing the essence of its terroir through a meticulous selection of parcels. This wine is a tribute to the diversity and richness of the Jura soils, combining grapes from five different vineyards with mostly clay (60%) and limestone (40%) soils, reflecting a particular complexity and texture in the wine.

Winemaking

The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring the selection of the best grapes, which are then fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in oak barrels, 10% of them new, for 12 months. This careful winemaking and ageing process highlights the purity of the Chardonnay, offering a wine of mineral character and aromatic complexity.

Taste

Tissot Chardonnay Patchwork is distinguished by a complex and energetic taste, where minerality plays a leading role. The aromatic palette is a delightful display of citrus fruits such as lemon and mandarin, complemented by notes of riffle stone, bringing an unrivalled freshness. On the palate, a rich and balanced structure is revealed, with vibrant acidity leading to a saline and persistent finish. This wine is a reflection of Stéphane Tissot's philosophy of intervening as little as possible in the vinification, allowing the terroir to express itself freely. The combination of clay and limestone soils, together with biodynamics, results in a Chardonnay that is both powerful and delicate, capable of evolving beautifully over time.
