2017 was also a warm year with low yields because of the frost they suffered, and the 2017 En Spois Vin Jaune reveals concentrated aromas, fine oxidation and notes of smoke, iodine and peat. This comes from Trias soils that give larger, more rustic wines with a smoky and iodine character, while the wines from Lias have more freshness and more citrus character.
