Description

It all began in a small shared winery in Conca de Barberà, where Albert Canela and Mariona Vendrell, two recently graduated winemakers with a very clear vision, decided to challenge the moulds of traditional viticulture. Instead of following the beaten track, they stuck to what the land dictated to them: Trepat. A shy variety, little understood, which they knew how to listen to. With time, and now installed in their own winery in Pira, they also decided to reinterpret Cabernet Sauvignon from a fresher perspective, less marked by extraction and wood.

The result of this search is Succés Vinícola Feedback, a red wine that combines 50% Cabernet Sauvignon with 50% Trepat, a blend that is as unusual as it is balanced. The grapes come from vineyards at altitudes between 400 and 700 metres above sea level, with clay and limestone soils that provide tension, elegance and freshness. This combination of varieties and terroir makes Feedback a declaration of intent: authenticity without artifice, origin without make-up.

Winemaking

Harvesting is done by hand, with selection in the vineyard itself, taking care of every single cluster. Fermentations are carried out spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, with indigenous yeasts and without any intervention that might obscure the expression of the fruit. For about 20 days, the wine is slowly transformed, maintaining mild temperatures that preserve its fruity profile and natural freshness. After malolactic fermentation in 500 and 600 litre French oak barrels, the wine rests for 14 months. No sulphites are added in this process, allowing Succés Vinícola Feedback to speak with its own voice.

Taste

In the glass, Succés Vinícola Feedback is an experience that unfolds in layers: from ripe black fruit, such as cassis and plum, to spicy notes and a subtly herbal touch that adds dynamism. The palate is juicy, with round tannins and vibrant acidity that lengthens the sip and cleanses the palate. It is a red with nerve, but also with an elegance that is perceived in its long and serene finish. Perfect for those who are looking for something different, without sacrificing depth.
