Description
Sentits Blancs is an organic white wine made exclusively from Garnatxa Blanca grapes by the Bodegas Puiggròs winery under the DO Catalunya designation of origin.
The grapes used to make this wine come from vines over 50 years old located in Ódena, in the Anoia region, on clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 450 to 650 metres above sea level.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand at their optimum ripening point, avoiding any damage or breakage that could affect the quality of the fruit. On arrival at the winery, alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at between 28 °C and 32 °C, with maceration and punching down for 23 days.
Finally, the wine is aged for 5 months in French oak barrels. The wine is bottled unfiltered.
Taste
Sentits Blancs is a wine with floral and fruity aromas and exquisite spicy notes. On the palate it is structured and silky as well as complex and deep.
It has ripe tannins that make it unbeatable while the acidity balances it and keeps it very lively. The finish is long and persistent.
