Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
I found an intensely herbal nose on the 2020 Sameirás Red, which was also earthy and faintly meaty with notes of singed leather and licorice. There is marked rusticity here and abundant, slightly dusty tannins. It needs powerful food. 3,612 bottles produced. It was bottled unoaked in May 2021.

Description
Sameirás Tinto is a wine that stands out for its freshness and flavour, being a genuine representation of the region of Galicia, Spain. This wine is a product of the Adega Antonio Cajide, located in the area of Ribadavia, known for its oceanic-Mediterranean climate that favours viticulture.
The composition of this wine is a blend of several grapes, being 40% Sousón, 30% Caíño Tinto, 20% Brancellao, and the remaining 10% composed of other red varieties. These grapes come from our own vineyards planted in sandy-loam and sandy-loam soils, which contributes to the uniqueness of its flavour.
Winemaking
Sameirás Tinto is made by macerating and fermenting all the grape varieties together at a controlled temperature, following a traditional method. This careful and respectful process with the grapes allows the best of each variety to be extracted, resulting in a high quality wine.
Taste
Sameirás Tinto is characterised by a tasty and powerful flavour, with an enveloping and sweet taste on the palate. It presents pleasant fruity sensations accompanied by certain toasted notes. Its tannins are silky and polished, contributing to a balanced and pleasant taste experience. The wine has a medium-long finish, leaving a fresh and fruity aftertaste.
In appearance, it has a cherry red colour with violet reflections, clean and bright. On the nose, it is expressive, with marked aromas of red fruit and floral and balsamic nuances, as well as a fine lactic background.
Sameirás Tinto is a wine that reflects tradition and care in its production, being an excellent representative of Galician wines. Its balance between body and freshness makes it ideal to accompany a variety of dishes, from appetizers to red meats and cured cheeses.
