Rietsch Blanc Au Litre is a white wine made with Riesling (45%), Auxerrois (45%) and Gewürztraminer (10%) grapes, which reveals in each sip the presence of citric tonalities and a spicy aroma.
It is defined as a young wine, as its ageing and marketing process is carried out in the same year. It can also be denoted in the particular colour of the juice, which is between greenish yellow or straw. For this reason, it is presented in litre format, as it is a way of expressing that it has been elaborated to be drunk and not to be stored.
Following the philosophy of this winery, the Rietsch Blanc Au Litre wine is produced using non-invasive artisanal techniques, which allow the fruit to express itself without the need to add chemicals.
Winemaking
The vines are cultivated in a natural way, ensuring that the process does not involve practices that alter the flavour of the fruit. Harvesting is also carried out using artisanal techniques, ensuring that the grapes are harvested at an optimum state of ripeness.
They are then taken to the winery to undergo a low-intensity pressing process that ensures a gentle extraction of the must, after which they are fermented in a slow cycle with indigenous yeasts. Finally, it is bottled to be marketed.
