Description
L'Enclòs de Peralba Pét-Nat wine represents a unique expression of viticulture in Penedés, Spain. Initiated in 2017 by cousins Leo and Roc Gramona, this project stands out for its focus on sustainability and the preservation of the region's indigenous varieties. The wine is made from the Malvasía de Sitges variety, grown on a 0.72-hectare plot in Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues, owned by Josep Massana. This plot, known as Cal Manuel, is located at an elevation of 266 metres and has vineyards planted in 2014.
Winemaking
The winemaking of L'Enclòs de Peralba Pét-Nat focuses on minimal intervention, respecting the distinctive character of the terroir. The grapes are harvested by hand, pressed directly and fermented with natural yeasts in tanks, bottled before fermentation is complete. This approach reflects a commitment to sustainable winemaking and the authentic expression of the Penedès landscape. Importantly, this wine is suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.
Taste
L'Enclòs de Peralba Pét-Nat is characterised by a pale straw yellow colour with greenish reflections, bright and attractive. On the nose, it offers a medium intensity with aromas of white fruit, green apple and hints of pastries on a floral background. Lively and creamy on the palate, with a marked carbonation that enhances the notes of green apple and white fruit. It is medium-bodied and ends with a floral and balsamic finish of medium persistence. These characteristics make it an exceptionally balanced and enjoyable wine, ideal for those seeking a refreshing and authentic sensory experience.
