The Xarel.lo white 2022 Els Presseguers, from a plot planted in 1994 in Gelida at 400 meters in altitude with a north exposition and worked biodynamically by grower Francesc Pascual. It fermented in stainless steel, used 500-liter barrels and a 3,000-liter oak foudre. The wine matured for nine months in those oak containers without going through malolactic fermentation. It has 12.1% alcohol, a pH of 3.18 and notable acidity. It has freshness and clean notes of white peach and is a little more balsamic and a little herbal, with great freshness, very tasty with an almost salty twist. I like this very much. This is the last vineyard they harvest, and it keeps the freshness and tension, a vertical Xarel.lo. 3,896 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023.
