Description
The Goyo García Viadero winery produces incredible organic wines, with dazzling flavours and aromas, one of the most valued of which is the Goyo García Beâtum Blanco wine.
Its creator practices agriculture based on traditional and environmentally friendly methods. He does not use harmful chemicals, herbicides or additives. His family has been in the business for hundreds of years, but he now stands out with his own winery, where he makes some of the best wines of the Ribera del Duero and the Liébana Valley.
Winemaking
Goyo García Beâtum Blanco is made with Palomino fino grapes from a hundred-year-old vineyard grown on slate and clay soil in the Liébana Valley, at an altitude of more than 650 metres above sea level.
The grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed without crushing. Malolactic fermentation takes place in contact with the skins, and pumping over and punching down are carried out during the process.
The wine is then aged for 18 months in used French oak barrels before being bottled unfiltered.
Taste
Goyo García Beâtum Blanco has a beautiful golden yellow colour with amber hues. It is an earthy and mineral wine, with medium structure, citrus and toasted notes.
It also has aromas of unpeeled white fruits and a long, lingering finish. It is a dry wine, medium-bodied but light.
