Description
Dominio do Bibei Refugallo Blanco is a white wine from Ribeira Sacra, produced by the Dominio do Bibei winery, a winery located in Orense, Galicia. This wine is a blend of 85% Godello, 10% Albariño, and 5% Doña Blanca, autochthonous varieties that reflect the richness of the region's viticulture.
Winemaking
The elaboration of Dominio do Bibei Refugallo Blanco follows a meticulous process, with grapes harvested from vineyards of various ages, ranging from 11 to 100 years old, located in poor clay and schist soils at altitudes of over 600 metres. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selecting the best bunches. After cold maceration, each grape variety is vinified separately in 600-litre barrels, 1,200 or 2,400-litre foudres, and concrete ovoid tanks, fermenting with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged for 20 months in used French oak barrels, which contributes to its complexity and character.

Dominio do Bibei Refugallo Blanco stands out for its freshness and fruitiness, presenting intense aromas of white fruits, citrus, wild flowers, camomile and aromatic plants on the nose. On the palate, it is creamy, with flavours that follow the olfactory line, dominated by white fruits and spices, complemented by a light touch of acidity that provides balance. The finish is long and persistent, showing an excellent integration of its components and a well-present acidity that gives it an unctuous texture. This wine is ideal to accompany appetizers, white fish, seafood, and white meats. It is recommended to be served between 9°C and 10°C to maximize its expression.
