Description
Domaine Rolet L'Étoile Chardonnay is a white wine from the Jura region, made from the Chardonnay grape variety, which gives it a unique and distinctive identity. The name L'Etoile, which means "star" in French, comes from the fact that the village where it is located is surrounded by five hills that form the points of a star. In addition, the vineyards are dotted with pentacrinus, star-shaped fossils that can be found among the vines.
Winemaking
The elaboration of this wine begins with a careful selection and manual harvesting of the grapes. Subsequently, the must ferments in barrels and then ages for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Taste
Domaine Rolet L'Etoile Chardonnay has a pale golden colour. The nose, of medium intensity and developing, evokes aromas of yellow apples, ripe lemon, peach, scorched wood, butter, wet stone and a saline touch. On the palate, the finish is long and dry, with high acidity and medium body. This is an exceptional Chardonnay from the Jura, with a style very similar to that of the Central Burgundy region. Best enjoyed now or over the next five years with cheese, fish or seafood.
