Description
Cinque Campi Terbianc wine is an authentic expression of the Italian wine region, notable for being made from a local variety of Trebbiano. This variety, although present in other regions of Italy, in this particular case, has a more robust and distinctive body. The wine's name comes from the local dialect, and its label bears the artwork of Vanni's youngest son, adding a personal and familiar touch to the product.
The wine comes from vineyards with an average age of 30 years, and the variety used is Trebbiano di Spagna. The total production of this wine is limited, with only 2,000 bottles per year, making it a rare and precious jewel. The soil in which these grapes grow is a clay loam, rich in silica and chalk, which gives unique characteristics to the taste and aroma of the wine.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small boxes. They are then macerated on their skins for 5 days. After fermentation for 6 months in stainless steel and cement tanks, the wine is transferred to bottles with the addition of must from the same harvest to finish its re-fermentation in bottles. No fining, filtering or sulphur is carried out at any stage of the process (total sulphates <10 ppm). Finally, it is disgorged without any dosage.
