Description
Borsao Tinto Selección is a young, fresh wine by Bodegas Borsao, located in the Campo de Borja DO in Aragón. This wine is a blend that combines three grape varieties: Garnacha ( 85%), Tempranillo (10%) and Syrah (5%). The vineyards, aged between 15 and 25 years, are located in clay-limestone, stony and loamy soils, which contributes to the good structure of the wine.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and each variety is vinified separately. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures (22-24°C), which preserves the freshness and aromas of the grapes. After fermentation, the wine is clarified with egg albumin and cold stabilised before bottling.
Taste
Borsao Tinto Selección stands out for its balance and versatility in the mouth. It has a bright ruby colour with violet reflections. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, complemented with floral notes and a spicy touch. On the palate, it is a medium-bodied wine, with soft tannins and a pleasant persistence. Its spicy and fruity flavour makes it an ideal accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes, from tapas and red meats to pasta and rice dishes.
