Description
Pedradura, a wine that emanates from the vineyards of Finca Can Camps, located in the heart of the Garraf Natural Park, is an oenological star that distils the essence of the Mediterranean. This region, characterised by its chalky and arid environment, gives the wines a fascinating ageing capacity, the result of an original varietal composition and the influence of the nearby sea.
Winemaking
The varieties that make up this wine are Marselan and Petit Verdot. It is made from grapes harvested by hand from old vines. Traditional fermentation is carried out at 25°C for 38 days without the addition of selected yeasts. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. It is aged for 12 months in French oak and 30 months in the bottle, which gives it an exceptional evolution and maturity.
Taste
Pedradura has a deep garnet red colour. On the nose, it displays aromas of red fruits with hints of aromatic herbs from the Massif, evoking the aromatic and mineral quality of this pure and arid landscape. On the palate, it is a wine that expresses minerality, being deep and round with a long finish. Its earthy character and ageing come through subtly, with a light body despite its aromatic intensity. The hints of aromatic herbs and its mineral character are clearly reminiscent of its environment, making this wine a true representation of its terroir.
