Description

This wine, named after its creator, the winemaker Oriol Artigas, is a young, light red wine made in the Alella region of Catalonia, Spain, with grapes planted in a vineyard 50 metres from the Mediterranean. The most curious thing about it? Its name comes precisely from a fish that is widely consumed in this area.
It is a young and light red wine with a fruity flavour that will not leave you indifferent, and that you can enjoy with a wide variety of dishes.

Elaboration

The elaboration process of the exquisite Lloritu red wine is carried out using Jaque grapes that are destemmed in their entirety, trodden with the feet and then macerated on their skins for a whole night.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place with natural yeasts andthe wine is aged for seven months on its lees. It is also rested in stainless steel tanks and no sulphur is added. It is then bottled and carries a label illustrating the origin of its name.

Taste

The Oriol Artigas Lloritu red wine is quite juicy and has a fruity taste. It is a mineral, natural and calm wine, which leaves a pleasant taste in the mouth, with notes of red fruits and herbs. It is quite light and fresh.

A particular red wine, like its name and origin.

The Jaque grape is also known as Black Spanish and many experts define it as fascinating and unique, with a history that suggests that it is a hybrid grape resulting from the accidental cross between the American grape Vitis Aestivalis and the imported European grape Vitis vinifera.
The truth is that this history, as well as the winemaking process of this wine, surely influences its exquisite, fragrant and acidic taste, ideal for pairing with Iberian cured meats, white fish, pasta, pulses, pizzas and vegetables. It is also excellent with aperitifs. Best served at around 14°C.
Enjoy the incredible experience of tasting this wine, and don't forget to let us know how it went.
