Description
Morca is a red wine produced by Bodegas Morca in the Campo de Borja appellation of origin, located in Zaragoza. This wine is made exclusively from the Grenache grape variety, coming from small, low-yielding plots harvested by hand.
Winemaking
The elaboration of Morca includes fermentation in small stainless steel tanks and 20 months of ageing in French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation is completed. Each barrel is subjected to a rigorous selection process before bottling this limited production wine, which highlights its exclusive character.
Taste
Morca stands out for its intense and fruity aromas. On the nose, notes of cherries and plums are perceived, along with a hint of cedar and spices. On the palate, it offers a rich concentration of flavours, evoking the texture of red fruit jam. The tannins are well integrated, providing a smooth, silky sensation that culminates in a long, lingering finish. This wine is ideal for pairing with red meats, cured cheeses or cured meats, thanks to its robust body and spicy character.
