Description
Mestres Elena de Mestres is a Brut Nature Gran Reserva cava that stands out for its careful production and respect for traditional methods. This cava is a blend of three grape varieties: Trepat (60%), Monastrell ( 20%) and Garnacha (20%), which gives it a unique character within its category. The elaboration of this cava follows the Mestres method, known for its attention to detail at every stage of the process.
Winemaking
The base wine is aged in barrels on its lees for 4 months, which gives it a remarkable aromatic complexity. Subsequently, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle with a minimum of 42 months of ageing in rhyme, following a careful process of stirring the bottles to improve the structure and complexity. Finally, disgorgement is carried out by hand, ensuring that each bottle maintains the highest quality.
Taste
Mestres Elena de Mestres offers a sensory experience that reflects its meticulous winemaking. On the nose, intense notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by subtle roasted and smoky nuances, the result of its time in barrels. On the palate, it is elegant and creamy, with perfectly integrated carbon dioxide that provides a velvety sensation.
