Description
Le Nadir Novembre is a wine that originates from vineyards located on Jurassic clay and flint soils in the municipality of Brossay. This wine is made from a blend of two vintages of the Grolleau variety. The vinification consists of 75% Grolleau from the previous year, re-fermented with 25% Grolleau from the current year.
Winemaking
The whole bunches are macerated for a week before pressing, followed by ageing in stainless steel tanks and old barrels for two years. Bottling took place in November, and a limited quantity of 792 bottles was produced. It is important to note that this wine has been produced without the addition of sulphites.
Taste
Le Nadir Novembre has a unique and attractive flavour profile. On the nose, it offers a natural freshness with animal notes and a juicy and fresh mouthfeel. The tannins are light, providing a smooth and pleasant texture. The predominant flavours include fresh fruits such as raspberry and blackberry, which provide a fruity and crisp character. This wine stands out for its beautiful ruby colour and, although it appears unfiltered, it is very clean in all aspects.
On tasting, there is a brutal but well-balanced acidity, making it a light and refreshing wine, ideal to enjoy in summer. The tannins are almost non-existent, which facilitates a comfortable and pleasant drink. It is perfect for pairing with tomato dishes, pizzas or for everyday drinking.
