The pale rosé 2023 La Galaxia is a joint venture with Quinta da Pellada in Dão in Portugal, which provided the grapes—50% Tinta Roriz and 50% Jaen—to produce this wine in their facilities, where it fermented and matured in stainless steel. It's perfumed, delicate and floral, with notes of rose petals, and it has a soft palate with some granularity and very tasty flavors. 6,600 bottles produced.

Description
La Galaxia rosé wine is an original expression of the Dão region. Composed of a blend of 60% Tinta Roriz, 30% Jaén and 10% Touriga Nacional, this rosé is a sample of the oenological mastery of Álvaro Castro and Eulogio Pomares. Produced at Quinta da Pellada for Fento Wines, this wine stands out for its freshness and minerality, with citrus and floral notes that give it a balanced and elegant palate.
Winemaking
The grapes come from vineyards scattered in the mountainous area of Serra da Estrela, protected from the Atlantic winds and located at an altitude of 550 metres above sea level. These vineyards, aged between 30 and 65 years, are planted on granitic soils with sand and clay lines. The grapes are harvested by hand and, after destemming, the grapes are directly pressed. Both fermentation and ageing are carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, guaranteeing the preservation of the natural characteristics of the grapes.
Taste
La Galaxia has a beautiful pale pink colour with bright reflections. On the nose, it has a beautiful mineral freshness, developing aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers. On the palate, it is balanced and luscious, with a tension that gives it persistence and a fruity and saline finish.
