The 2020 Vinyes Velles was produced with 76% Cariñena and 24% Garnacha that achieved good ripeness and 14.5% alcohol. It has abundant, slightly dusty tannins and an earthy profile with notes of graphite, wet slate and dark berry fruit mixed with aromatic Mediterranean herbs and a generous dose of sweet spices from the élevage of 16 months in 225-liter French oak barrels. The oak is still quite noticeable. Wait. 20,100 bottles and 400 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2022.
