Description
Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Spätlese is a sweet white wine with an alcohol content of 8.0% made exclusively from Riesling grapes from the Mosel Saar Ruwer region of Germany.
Taste
Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Spätlese is exotic and aromatic, with a mineral presence and a very pronounced sweetness. The tasting notes highlight a fresh and spicy nose, with hints of candied ginger, sea salt, chalk and a touch of white peach and lime. On the palate, the wine surprises with a fruity pressure that contrasts with its crystalline nose, presenting flavours of white and yellow fruit, such as plum and summer apple, and a touch of sweet lychee. Its texture is finely saline with a flinty grip, and a smoky, fine slate note that shimmers with brilliance. Despite its richness and concentration, the wine retains an impressive freshness and lightness, culminating in a long, silky, filigree finish.
