The 2018 Grand Village is a blend of 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it comes galloping out of the glass with powerful notes of baked plums, mulberries and stewed black cherries, plus hints of tar, licorice, garrigue and black truffles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate explodes with bombastic black fruits and an exciting burst of freshness, framed by ripe, rounded tannins, finishing long and earthy.
