Description
Camille Savès Bouzy Rouge Grand Cru côteaux champenoise is a clear testimony to the Bouzy terroir, made exclusively from the red Pinot Noir variety from the Bouzy Grand Cru (La Poivresse, Le Nonicart and Les Loges).
Winemaking
Each vine is carefully inspected and the grapes are selected by hand to ensure optimum ripeness. The grapes are moderately crushed and most of the stems are removed. Then, after a short maceration of the skins with the must, fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts. The wine then rests in oak barrels for 10 months before continuing its journey to ageing in oak barrels for 24 to 36 months.
Taste
Camille Savès Bouzy Rouge Grand Cru has a beautiful deep cherry red colour, with aromas of red fruits, cherry, raspberry and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is round and well balanced, supported by soft tannins and an earthy minerality. Lovers of Coteaux Champenois wines will enjoy its flavour. It is a perfect companion for game meats and meats in sauce, although some restaurateurs also recommend it with fish.
