Description
Bico da Ran is a white wine made from 100% Albariño grapes that reflects the essence of Rías Baixas and Fento Wines ' passion for creating exceptional wines. It is a perfect choice for those who are looking for a fresh, fruity wine with a distinctive character.
Winemaking
Bico da Ran takes its name from a Galician beach, paying homage to the rich nature of this unique land. It is made with Albariño grapes from Eulogio Pomares' best vineyards in Salnés. These vineyards, with a south-southeast exposure, are located at an altitude of between 50 and 150 metres above sea level and are between 15 and 25 years old. The soil in which these grapes grow is granitic and weathered. The grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning to preserve the freshness of the grapes. The drained must is cold fermented using yeasts that bring out the primary varietal aromas. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is cold stabilised and filtered, all in stainless steel tanks, to preserve the aromas and freshness. Finally, the wine is bottled in a winery in Portas, Pontevedra.
Taste
Bico da Ran has a bright straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, it is very fragrant, reminiscent of citrus fruits accompanied by notes of fennel and passion fruit. On the palate, it is fruity but fresh, with an intense vegetal character and exotic notes.
