Description
Barranco Oscuro Salmónido is a rosé wine produced in the region of La Contraviesa in Granada, Spain. Made from the Pinot Noir grape variety, this wine comes from vineyards located between 1280 and 1368 metres above sea level. The soil conditions, composed of poor, stony shale and clay soils, together with the altitude, provide an ideal environment for the cultivation of these grapes.
Winemaking
The vinification process of Barranco Oscuro Salmónido includes a spontaneous fermentation with one day of maceration in stainless steel tanks without temperature control, followed by an ageing of several months in used barrels . This wine is characterised by having no additives or sulphites added, maintaining its organic nature without official certification.
Taste
Barranco Oscuro Salmónido stands out for its intense and vibrant flavour profile. On the nose, it presents aromas of plum, raspberry, cherry, together with vegetal and mineral notes. On the palate, it is dry and fresh, with remarkable vigour and a density consistent with its aromas. Its balance is achieved thanks to a good acidity, which makes it a distinctive rosé, different from the common standards. This wine is ideal for those looking for a unique rosé experience, combining freshness and complexity with a well-defined structure.
