Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
in the 2019 Roda I, I found notes that I had found in many 2019s—ripe black fruit, an earthy touch and a touch of dark spices. It's medium to full-bodied, combining power, concentration, ripeness and elegance in a clean and modern style. It matured in French oak barrels, 50% of them new, but it’s not really noticeable, for 16 months. 128,034 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2022.

Description
Roda I has been created by Bodega Roda. It is a red wine made from 96% Tempranillo and 4% Graciano grape varieties. These grapes come from approximately 150 hectares, in vineyards that have an average age of 30 years and are planted in clay-limestone soils.
In gastronomic terms, this delicious wine is the perfect accompaniment to dishes such as poultry stews, barbecues, and duck a l'orange, among others.
Winemaking
The grapes were hand-picked and selectively harvested. These vineyards are goblet-trained and planted in Haro and nearby villages.
On the other hand, Roda I was fermented in temperature-controlled oak vats and matured for 16 months in French oak barrels, 50% new and 50% old.
At the end of this time and before bottling, the wine is lightly clarified with fresh egg whites. The completion of the winemaking process means that Roda I remains in the bottle for 20 months before being released onto the market.
Taste
Roda I is a red wine wrapped in a great balance, with very fine and noble tannins, silky and lively. Very full in the mouth and long at the same time. Friendly, tasty and full of flavour.
A wine with a perfect balance
Roda I is a wine with a unique personality that represents an unprecedented example of the elegance of Rioja wines. It is a wine from a magnificent selection of grapes with a pleasantly fresh and fruity sensation. Its quality invites you to continue tasting it as it provides a very pleasant sensation.
And you, what are you waiting for? Try this exquisite wine and enjoy its unique characteristics.
