The young, lighter and fruit-driven red 2020 Ritme Negre was produced with a lot of Garnacha, 45% this time, the rest Cariñena, which was greatly affected by the mildew of the year. It fermented with a 15-day maceration and matured in light-toast French oak barrels for some 10 months. It's ripe and powerful at 15% alcohol and has a round and juicy palate with Priorat character at an affordable price. 56,700 bottles produced. It was bottled in April and May 2022.

Description
Ritme red wine is an authentic expression of the DOQ Priorat, a renowned wine region in Spain. This red wine stands out for its composition of 55% Garnacha Negra and 45% Cariñena, indigenous varieties that reflect the identity and character of the area. The vineyards, between 20 and 40 years old, are located in different municipalities such as Poboleda, Porrera, Bellmunt, El Molar, El Lloar and Cornudella, at altitudes ranging from 300 to 650 metres above sea level. The predominant soil is llicorella (slate), a crucial factor that contributes to the uniqueness of the wine.
Winemaking
Ritme is made with a deep respect for the grapes, seeking to maximise varietal expression. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by maceration for approximately 15 days. Ageing takes place in lightly toasted French oak barrels for 10 months, a process that does not include filtering or fining in order to preserve the wine's purest identity.
Taste
Ritme offers a rich and complex sensory experience. It has an intense cherry colour, accompanied by aromas of red fruit and spices. The oak notes are well integrated, adding an extra layer of complexity. The palate is savoury and fruity, with ripe tannins providing a pleasant texture and a long finish. This flavour profile reflects the influence of the Priorat terroir, as well as the careful winemaking and ageing that characterise Ritme.
