Description
Matassa Coume de l'Olla Blanc wine is the product of the processing of different grape varieties native to the Matassa winery, such as Macabeo, Muscat Blanc and Muscat de Petits Grains. The vineyard is located in the south of France and is situated at 450 to 650 metres above sea level, allowing a yield of around 3,500 kg per hectare per year.
It is a natural, organic and vegan white wine with an alcohol content of 10%. It is characterised by its high quality, low sulphur content and the absence of auxiliary additives.
Winemaking
All varieties of Matassa Coume de l'Olla Blanc are fermented in whole bunches with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. Then, the must-wine is macerated for a period of 10 weeks, to start the ageing process which lasts 8 months in concrete tanks.
Taste
Matassa Coume de l'Olla is an aromatic wine with hints of light fruits with citrus nuances. Its aromas are reminiscent of the tropics and it has acidic and spicy touches. It is well structured, agile and versatile at the table.
Its perfect balance comes from the influence of forest fruits and the influence of the soils where the grapes are grown.
A white wine without ageing
This wine is classified as "Blanco sin crianza", which means that in its elaboration process it did not have contact with any type of wood, but other materials such as ceramic, concrete or metals were used. It is perfect for pairing with stewed and cooked dishes and is an excellent choice for accompanying romantic evenings, work or family meals or any social event.
