Based on 60% Welschriesling and 40% Chardonnay, the golden-orange 2019 Beerenauslese Cuvée opens with ripe and stewed peach as well as chutney aromas with blood orange, ginger and mustard seed. On the palate, this is a rich and intense but tensioned, stimulating and saline wine that leaves a long, intense and aromatic finish with bitters. Tasted as a sample at the domaine in July 2022.

Description
Kracher Cuvée Beerenauslese is born from the passion and commitment to produce sweet wines of the highest quality. This cuvée is a harmonious blend of 40% Chardonnay and 60% Welschriesling, two varieties which, when blended together, create a wine with unrivalled personality and character.
Winemaking
85% of the wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, while the remaining 15% is aged in large barrels for a period of 12 months. This combination of vinification techniques allows the wine to acquire a richness and complexity that distinguishes it in the world of wines.
Taste
Immersing oneself in the sensory world of Kracher Cuvée Beerenauslese, one is greeted by notes of white peaches and melon that unfold on the nose. These initial aromas give way to nuances of stone fruit, citrus, tangerine and ripe yellow peach. The wine's elegant acidic structure is present on the palate, offering a perfect balance with the wine's natural sweetness. It is long, fresh and persistent, leaving a lasting impression. Visually, the wine presents a honey yellow colour, dense and fluid, reflecting its freshness and richness.
This wine is a true chameleon when it comes to food pairing, as it pairs perfectly with desserts, cheeses and such exotic dishes as spicy Thai red curry.
