The 2022 Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett is quite reductive on the clear and quite intense flinty nose that indicates ripe and concentrated fruit with a spicy-phenolic touch. The wine is dense and pretty tight and provided with fine tannins and stimulating salinity. The 2022 is a vintage that needs a certain bottle age to gain in finesse. 9% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 24 23 in January 2025.

Joh. Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett is a white wine of exceptional quality from the prestigious Mosel wine region in Germany. This wine is a single varietal, made exclusively from Riesling grapes, a variety characterised by its ability to uniquely reflect the qualities of the terroir.

Winemaking

The winemaking of this wine follows a meticulous and traditional process. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selecting the best clusters. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, using natural yeasts. This method preserves the purity and freshness of the fruit, while enhancing the mineral characteristics of the wine. Ageing in steel tanks also helps to maintain the clarity and liveliness of the wine.
