Description

Morgon Eponym is a red wine elaborated with grapes of the gamay variety, which were cultivated under artisanal techniques and following the philosophy of this winery. These fruits come from terroirs located in Villie Morgon, in Burgundy, and that is the reason why this wine is identified with this name.
It is a wine defined by experts as a dry and fruity red wine, with spicy tones, determined by the grape and the type of soil. It is definitely a sign that it comes from the hand of experts in the treatment of this type of grapes and the environment where it is grown.

Elaboration

The elaboration of Morgon Eponym wine starts from the moment the grapes are grown, carrying out ancestral practices that guarantee that the fruit expresses itself naturally.
The grapes are harvested late, and then the bunches of fruit are stored at low temperatures for a period of several weeks. After that, the grapes are subjected to the traditional semi-carbonic fermentation phase, using indigenous yeasts.
Of course, there is little or no sulphur addition and no chaptalisation or filtering processes. Finally, the wine is aged in oak barrels.

Taste

Morgon Eponym is a wine with a particular taste that combines elegance with subtlety. From the first sip, you will notice the presence of red and black fruits, combined with mineral and ferrous tones.

An elegant and subtle wine

The Morgon Eponym wine is defined as an elegant and subtle wine, thanks to the smoothness it brings to the palate during its tasting. This characteristic is due to the special treatment given to the grapes in all the transformation processes. It is a red wine to be enjoyed with grilled meats and sausages.
