Ikigall is a white wine produced by the Gallina de Piel winery owned by David Seijas, former sommelier at El Bulli.
This incredible wine is composed of grapes of the white varieties Xarel-Lo, Malvasía and Moscatel de Alejandría from the D.O. Penedès (Catalonia, Spain).
The grapes used to make the white wine Ikigall come from vineyards cultivated in 1973, in an ecological way respecting the environment. These vineyards are located on silty-sandy soils at an altitude of 160 meters above sea level.
After harvest, the grapes are cold macerated for 5 hours before pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (15º C) followed by 4 months aging on its fine lees, also in steel.
It is fresh, round, fruity, floral and with a lot of acidity. On the palate, fruity notes dominate along with more subtle nuances reminiscent of citrus touches .

The passion for good wine of the Gallina de Piel winery brings us this white wine, a product of organic viticulture. Ikigall is a wine from a great harvest and from the white varieties of the D.O. Penedès.
Gastronomically it is excellent to drink alone or as an accompaniment to appetizers and starters, as well as main courses of fish and salads.
