Description
In the heart of the Oggau vineyard, we find Theodora, a relevant but charming young lady who wins everyone over with her cheerful and lively manner. She is attractive like her mother, Wiltrude, and at the same time bold and elegant. Despite being the joker of the vineyard, Theodora is reliable and steady. She maintains an especially close relationship with her beloved grandmother Mechtild and her favourite uncle Emmeram.
Elaboration
Gut Oggau Theodora comes from vines that are 35 years old. These vines produce a yield of 2 to 2.5 tons per hectare, growing on a soil composed of gravel and limestone. The varieties that make up this wine are Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling. The grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in used 500, 1,000 and 1,500 litre barrels. The wine remains in these barrels for approximately 9 months, without batonnage. Finally, it is bottled unfiltered, unrefined and without the addition of sulphur.

Gut Oggau Theodora stands out for its striking structure, being the young girl of the Gut Oggau family. It is a display of white varieties with a predominant Grüner Veltliner base. Its character is seductive, imbuing a distinctive minerality. Its acidity stands out, provoking a salivating sensation and looking you straight in the eye with its impressive purity. It is a wine that is not only tasted, but felt and experienced, transporting the drinker directly to the heart of the Oggau vineyard and the essence of Theodora.
