Description
Fuentespina Reserva is a red wine that reflects the character of Ribera del Duero, made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes, selected from vineyards over 50 years old. The Fuentespina winery, with an outstanding track record in the production of high quality wines, has developed this wine using traditional methods combined with modern winemaking techniques. The vineyards are located in a region with diverse soils including clay and limestone, which contributes to the complexity and richness of the wine.
Winemaking
After the harvest, the grapes undergo a rigorous selection process, being destemmed and crushed before fermentation. This process is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the primary aromas as much as possible. The wine is aged in new French oak barrels for 16 months, followed by two years in the bottle before release.
Taste
On the palate, Fuentespina Reserva is a fleshy wine with great structure, with abundant but well-integrated tannins, which gives it a long and persistent finish. Its aroma is intense, with notes of ripe black fruits, spicy hints, cocoa and liquorice. On the palate, its volume and unctuous sensation stand out, with a balance between the fruit and the toasted notes derived from its time in oak barrels. It is ideal to accompany red meats, big game and cured cheeses, bringing complexity and elegance to each dish.
