Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Always a favorite of mine, the 2024 Villanueva, showcases the finesse of this village red. They managed to work more vineyards in the village. It matured exclusively in a 1,000-liter concrete vat. It has a pale and bright ruby color and an expressive, floral, nuanced and kaleidoscopic nose. The silty soils are reflected in the finesse of the wine, and it's floral, spicy and crystalline, with aromatic herbs and very fine, sleek tannins, silky, mineral and ethereal. It was bottled in August 2025, and there are only 1,291 bottles. But there will be 10,000 bottles in 2025!

Description
Comando G Villanueva is a pure expression of the Garnacha variety, making up 100% of its composition and reflecting the winemaking tradition of the Cebreros region. With a limited production of 2,798 bottles, this wine is distinguished by its careful elaboration and meticulous ageing.
Winemaking
The production of Comando G Villanueva begins with a separate fermentation by parcels, using gentle maceration techniques and avoiding aggressive extractions. This process highlights the purity and expression of the terroir. The wine is aged for 10 months in 20 hl barrels, which contributes to its complexity without overshadowing the intrinsic characteristics of the Garnacha. In addition, the wine is bottled without fining or filtration, preserving its authenticity and character.
Taste
Comando G Villanueva presents itself as a juicy and captivating red wine. Its aromas of red fruit intertwine with hints of violets and evocative notes of granite. On the palate, this wine displays a distinctive freshness and finesse, revealing vibrant acidity and a smooth passage. The finish is lingering, highlighting a distinctly mineral character. This flavour profile is a testament to masterful winemaking and respect for the region's granitic landscape.
Comando G Villanueva is more than a wine; it is an oenological experience that celebrates the richness of the land and the mastery of its creators. Its unique character and elegance make it an outstanding wine, ideal for those seeking to explore the depth and complexity of Garnacha at its best.
