Description

In a privileged corner of northern Italy, where winemaking tradition merges with the technical avant-garde, Franciacorta reveals itself as a terroir that demands precision and elegance in equal measure. where vineyards look out over Lake Iseo from moraine soils and hills bathed in the alpine breeze, Ca' del Bosco has built a reputation for excellence based on purity, detail and innovation. What began as the dream of a young Maurizio Zanella in a family hut has become one of the most iconic houses of Italian sparkling wine. Ca' del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Rosé Edizione is born from this philosophy: a refined, precise, uncompromising rosé. Pinot Noir (80%) from vines over 30 years old - in Erbusco, Adro and Iseo - offers structure and character, while Chardonnay (20%) adds tension and freshness from chalky soils in Passirano and Cazzago San Martino.

Winemaking

The winemaking process of Ca' del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Rosé Edizione begins with a rigorous selection: each cluster is cooled and washed using a patented system of baths and air-drying. The Pinot Noir macerates briefly with the skins for 24 to 36 hours to achieve the characteristic faint salmon colour. It is then fermented in small oak and steel barrels. The Chardonnay is vinified by whole pressing and fermented separately. After seven months of ageing, the final blend is made. The wine then rests for 30 months on its lees, in the bottle, in total darkness. Disgorgement, with no oxygen and no added sulphites, ensures a clean, long-lived and vibrant expression. The dosage is minimal: only 0.5 g/L.

Taste

Pale pink with coppery reflections. The nose of Ca' del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Rosé Edizione is precise: wild strawberries, pink grapefruit, hibiscus blossom and a whisper of toast. On the palate, very fine bubbles, creamy texture and bright acidity. Notes of sour cherry, rhubarb and a saline mineral background reminiscent of wet stone. The finish is dry, long, with elegant bitterness and fresh red fruit persistence. A Franciacorta rosé that combines sensuality and rigour, ideal for those looking for a subtle and deeply expressive gastronomic sparkling wine.
